Anybus CompactCom M30 Module - ControlNet

The Anybus CompactCom M30 for ControlNet is a complete communication module which enables your products to communicate on a ControlNet network. The module contains the complete functionality of industrial network adapter interface and integrate through a standardized and network independent parallel or serial application interface towards the host automation device.

The modular approach of the Anybus-CompactCom platform allows the ControlNet implementation to be customized and expanded to fit specific application requirements; unimplemented CIP messages can be routed to the host application, thus enabling profile support etc, and the contents of the Identity object can be customized to enable the product to appear as a vendor specific implementation. ADIs and Process Data can be accessed from the network via dedicated CIP objects.

COMBINING controlnet WITH OTHER NETWORKS

The CompactCom 40-series modules support the same APIs as the 30-series Modules. This means, if you are already using or want to combine the ControlNet module with 40-series Industrial Ethernet modules, HMS makes it possible to support both a mixture of CompactCom 30-series and 40-series modules within your industrial device.
