The Anybus CompactCom 40-series will give you high performance data exchange that can handle even the most demanding synchronized motion applications.
The pivotal core of CompactCom is the Anybus NP40 — HMS’ own industrial network processor which ensures that the communication between your processor and the network is just as fast as if you had implemented network communication inside your processor.
The Anybus NP40 is designed for demanding applications, especially targeting real-time industrial Ethernet.
The NP40 is based on Microsemi’s SmartFusion family and integrates a flash-based FPGA fabric, a 166 megahertz (MHz) ARM® Cortex™-M3 processor, communication interfaces and peripherals – all on a chip.
The Anybus NP40 integrates HMS's unique IP to provide best-in-class latency and deterministic real-time for demanding industrial applications like motion control.
The Real-Time Accelerator (RTA) works on several levels from “on-the-fly” protocol pre-processing on the network controller level to a zero delay API which guarantees instant access to network control data.
The configurable RTA interrupt with several network event indications provides the means for an optimized integration with the host application.
Drives / inverters have long been an important market for Anybus. The demands from modern high-performance drives have been pushing the development of Anybus CompactCom 40-series.
Profiles for drives or motion are supported by the CompactCom concept through a Profile Driver Package — a software stack which you implement into your device.
Profile data is not “translated” inside the Anybus CompactCom. Rather, it passes through the module’s transparent channel unchanged and the conversion of profile-specific data is done in your drive with the help of the HMS’ Profile Driver Package.
This will give you very fast data transfer and only support for the functions you really need.
Anybus CompactCom 40 is ideal for high-performance applications such as drives with motion and sync demands.
